Jenga topple game lamp diy

I recently saw someone do this on YouTube, so I bought a Jenga from a local charity shop and got started.

Using super glue and wood glue I stuck a few of the pieces together for the bottom where the IKEA pre made lamp holder and cable will sit.
Bit by bit I put the lamp together cutting a few pieces and drilling to make room for the lamp.
I had to have a solid base with a couple of dowels fixed in upright and the 2nd part of the tower with corresponding holes for the dowels, this allows lamps to be replaced.

IKEA table made up with pallet wood

We had this cheap IKEA table and after seeing a few people on the internet make theirs more interesting to look at I thought I'd give it a go. Not much to lose as the tables are cheap and the pallet timber is free.

I cut the timber on my table saw.
Sanded it.
Glued it.
Took a couple back off after it didn't look right (a bit of a pain).
Glued and nailed an edge for finish, then stained and varnished.
I painted the legs with a grey Matt gloss paint then put the original shelf back.

Log Alpine Succulent Planter

This is a log that was intended to be firewood, I cut, sanded, and drilled a large hole using a large Forstner bit.

Then simply add compost, a touch of water and the plant.
Added bonus is every one is unique.

Its quite simple but very effective
